Welcome to the website of Tate Basildon, a Property Manager/ Private Chef who not only graduated with high honors from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, but also has an inspiring tale about his journey as a chef while battling a hidden illness.
Despite being diagnosed with cardiopulmonary sarcoidosis and having heart failure and an implanted defibrillator, Tate has not allowed his illness to hinder his passion for cooking and writing. In addition to completing a memoir detailing his experiences working for high-profile families, he also writes short stories and reviews. Tate plans to approach agents soon.
With 36 years of experience, he works as a private chef and estate manager in upstate New York.
