Welcome to the website of Tate Basildon, a private chef who has not only completed his studies in The Culinary Institute of America with high honors, but also has an inspiring story to tell about his journey as a chef while facing a hidden illness.

Tate suffers from cardiopulmonary sarcoidosis and has an implanted defibrillator. However, he never let his illness come between his passion for cooking and writing. In addition to completing a memoir chronicling his experiences working for high-profile families, Tate also writes short stories and reviews. He plans to query agents soon and will post updates as they become available.

With 36 years of experience, Tate works as private chef and estate manager in upstate New York.
