Let’s face it: the world does not need another podcast. Between true crime, self-help gurus, and someone’s cousin talking about minimalism from their van, the podcast shelves are already full.
And yet… here I am, pulling up a chair to the mic.
Yes, I already have a podcast—Pan to Pen—and yes, it’s been months since I’ve posted anything new there. Not because I quit, but because producing that show is a lot of work. Like, “editing till your coffee goes cold” kind of work. Between sound effects, music, and my perfectionist tendencies, it sometimes felt like I needed a second life just to keep it going.
But this new podcast? It’s different.
Okay, not totally different—but definitely easier on my sanity.
It’s called “Still Breathing Against Odds,”and it’s essentially my blog in audio form. Think of it as my written life—chronic illness, writing struggles, chef memories, marriage moments—all spoken out loud. Or, technically, spoken by my AI voice. (Yes, even my lungs get a break this time.)
I already have tons of blog posts that tell my story: surviving sarcoidosis, managing heart failure, writing a debut novel, wrangling pets, and occasionally pretending I have energy. So why not share them in a way that fits into the lives of those who, like me, are often too exhausted to read?
Now you can listen on your commute, while folding laundry, or before bed when your eyes refuse to cooperate. Or maybe while sitting on the beach pretending not to check your email. Wherever life finds you, Borrowed Air will meet you there—with a little humor, a little heart, and just enough sarcasm to keep things real.
So, stay tuned. The blog you love is about to get a voice—literally.
And who knows? Maybe this time, I’ll actually keep up with it.
If you’ve been following my blog, I’d love your thoughts—would you listen to Borrowed Air? Drop a comment below or subscribe so you’ll be the first to hear the debut episode!
